- Hi, I'm a 21 year old college student studying media communications. I hope to one day become a writer for whoever will have me but it is my dream to one day publish a novel that I am currently working on. I am a huge Science Fiction junkie and just an all around nice, yet opinionated, guy. Feel free to just say hi.
"Religiously," I grew up in a moderate Christian household and chose to no longer believe in god at age 15. I do ascribe to a personal honor code that is based upon Christian values. I do not believe that Christianity is inherently wrong, only the hypocrisy of acting in God's name. My methods are also based on chivalry, the ways of the Mandalorians from Star Wars of whom I'm a huge fan, and Captain Mal from Firefly. Yeah, I'm a dork... Sci Fi fans have a friend here!

- My family and friends are all great people who I care about deeply but very few share my philosophical beliefs and several family members do not know of my lack of faith in the Christian God because bad stuff would go down if they found out, I see it as protecting them more than me, I do not think of it as hiding who I am. In addition, my own parents are very supportive of my choice but I can clearly see that it makes them worried and uncomfortable, both are moderate Christians. Basically I found the site randomly and thought that I would sign up to meet some like minded people.

- Shortly after my grandfather died from a seven year battle with cancer I was approached by my grandmother's pastor, a good man who I deeply respect, who told me that it was the will of God that my grandfather, with whom I was very close, had passed away. This, in addition to casual studies to biblical stories revealing what a "sadistic tyrant" God is led me to decide that such a deity cannot be real. I try to be civil in discussions about these topics but I have lost my temper before. I will do my best to remain respectful.
