Hi all,I've had a personal 'spiritual' experience that really bothers me. I am an atheist and have been for quite a while. Yet this experience still bothers me and I really need to share this with…Continue
"I've sometimes come out of bad blood sugar crashes, finding myself far from where I last remember being, eating food that I've apparently bought and paid for, with a voice in my head telling me "You can't die. I won't let…"
"These things are invariant in the human experience for whatever reason, ghosts, ufos, crop circles and more general the unexplained. As Gandolf the grey said, "There are older and fouler things than orcs in the deep places of the world.""
"Richard, we call your experience “intuition.” It’s rather common and happens all the time. It manifests itself as that little voice in our head or that nagging feeling. It usually happens to me just as I’m leaving my…"
"People are not necessarily crazy nor in need of a pschiatrist. The unexplained happens, we just have to get over it. There far more deeper mysterious to this universe and existence it self than to worry about possible poltergeist activities."
"I'm not trying to pigeonhole you but if you listen to Pink Floyd and you have long hair (like I do ) then you may have experimented with psychedelics at some point in life ( like I have) If you have ever taken LSD, aural and visual…"

My parents let me 'not believe' from about 10 years old. I was no longer required to attend, with the family. Simply put- I said it didn't make sense, at all, and that maybe I needed to grow up before I "studied" anything religious. My parents agreed. They also had no strategy for handling MY "invisible friends" vs. THEIR invisible friends. Mine were quite nice and never killed or were never even bad thinking.
In the MANY years since, I have studied most religions and find them seriously "wanting" for solving today's issues and problems.
Life is a lot less complicated when you deal with reality as an adult.
Why are you here?
