Every few months for the last 8 years I get a visit from 2 or 3 Jehovah Witnesses. One of them is the same guy from day one and he likes to bring the “new recruits” along so that they “see a real live atheist”. He thinks that he is teaching them debating skills and I will give him some credit for that. He is rather good at it but not quite a W.L. Craig. I suppose we improve each other’s skillset to a certain degree.

Is it irony to say that it is ironic how often the word irony is misused?

I help out manning information tables for Atheist Ireland when I can. They are starting to become a regular monthly feature in our bigger cities. The one in Dublin has been operational for three years without a break. While there is competition for prime locations, we have managed to keep our own regular spot on the capital’s main thoroughfare.

Are you a theist that would like me to convert to your religion? I will happily become a Christian or a Muslim if you can describe your God to me and offer me some objective evidence as to why I should trust what you are telling me to be true.

When I say “evidence” I mean even a tiny scrap of something that is tangible, that exists outside of your mind. I am not asking for, or even expecting any “Proofs”. Just something I could later build upon as my understanding of your (my) God…
