Hi all at T.A,
I'm a 45yr old U.K resident, with a wonderful partner and 2 son's. We share the care of our eldest who is severely disabled (Autistic, Epileptic, challenging behaviour to name a few).
I was dedicated to the Salvation Army at birth, then was baptised at 13 as C of E . This was while at a special school for 'Maladjusted' children. Strangely I left there at 15 and the only school that would accept me was St.Bede's Roman Catholic/Anglican combined. I didn't do very well academical wise. However the time spent from 12 - 16 meant I passed (out mostly) alcoholism and drug addiction.

The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
Have found recovery from addiction much easier without the constant battle over Higher Power's existence. Along with the barage of insults reigned upon me.
