Why you left your religion.
I was actually very religious in my teens, I even considered joining the church as a vocation. When I was studying religions in college, I became disillusioned with Christianity, and eventually with all other religions. I began reading a lot of science-based books (especially Hitchens, Harris, Dawkins and Dennett) and studying religions more as mythologies and fairy tales than as universal truths. The science of the universe is more wonderful and awesome than any god or goddess could ever be.
