There Is No God

Something has been bothering me for years - since I heard the news of a billboard proclaiming, "There is probably no god". "What's with this 'probably'?", I thought. "Of course there is no God. The…Continue

MikeLong replied to David Vogel's discussion 'A Christian on the problem of evil'
"I started to rebut each phrase but I ended up just shaking my head in disbelief.  There is no god. Therefore ALL religious writings which purport to come from god are nothing but ancient, irrelevant blatherings. There IS no universal morality.…"

MikeLong replied to David Vogel's discussion 'A Christian on the problem of evil'

MikeLong replied to David Vogel's discussion 'A Christian on the problem of evil'

MikeLong replied to David Vogel's discussion 'A Christian on the problem of evil'

MikeLong replied to David Vogel's discussion 'A Christian on the problem of evil'
"Arguing about free will and evil (etc.) requires that you first define the terms. The processes involved in making a simple, binary choice (assuming there is such a thing) are FAR too complex to be analyzed by the technologies and methods of today.…"

MikeLong replied to Unseen's discussion 'For the Americans here: If not Hillary, who?'
"Disagree. W was a muppet. They figured he would stay on vacation in Crawford, shut up, and do what he was told - which is pretty much what he did. Palin was drafted specifically to appeal to the ever-expanding constituency of RWNJ crazies. They…"

Hi MikeLong, you just have to have a popular topic. It will organically (Automatically) move it's way up or down the "Whats new today" side bar.

Thank you for the well thought, and poignantly written, response to Sassafras.  He actually called another veteran an 'unpatriotic coward' even after knowing the man was a retired intelligence officer.  I do hope that he eventually takes the time to question his belief-set, if even only to doubt it for an instant.  In any event, I'm pleased to have your input on this site on all issues - although this one in particular is distinctly pleasing.
