The reason for Autumn is that it can be held along with another referendum on the rights of children, to which the government was already committed, plus possibly three by-elections and a mayoral election in Dublin. That should mean a bigger turnout…

Hello Michael, I'm curious as to why the referendum has to wait until Autumn? Is it possible that the Supreme Court (or the equivalent court) in Ireland could scrap the law?

Pope's letter protects church, not its victims
