"It's your opinion and your facebook. If they want to be closed-minded, that's their business, but you are what you are and they can accept that or begone. Atheism is the result of an in-depth analysis of facts, religion is making up things…"

About Me:
I am a fairly simple guy to understand. This is me in a nutshell.

I AM NOT your average College Freshman. I DO plan ahead. I DO think about my actions. I DO stupid things, but I DO NOT forget what I have done. I AM smart, but only because I WORK HARD. I DO NOT care what you think of me, and I DO NOT like many people. I AM independent, and I LEARN my own lessons. I AM loyal and I AM accepting. Essentially, the only words that can describe what I AM or AM NOT or what I DO or DO NOT DO is that I AM ME.

I do not tolerate stupidity. In any shape or form. I don't mind acting crazy and having fun. Don't behave like a first-grader. Know when to stop and be serious.

Since coming to college, my arrogance has been tamed a bit. However, I loved that part of myself and strive to get it back. I need to succeed on this level to regain that confidence in myself.

I love politics, and love a good debate. I'm a genuine liberal, although I always vote democratic, I'm not sure I like to associate myself with the party itself. As long as you're intelligent, and more right-wing than me, we could probably have a nice chat. :3

I also am a huge football fan. (Who knew?) Whereas my dad and brother are Lions fans, I bleed the green and gold of the Green Bay Packers. I have ever since I was 3 I don't hate Brett Favre, but I'm fully behind Aaron Rodgers and the current team. SUPER BOWL XLV CHAMPS!!! :3

I'm a gamer. And I still like Pokemon and Digimon and all the stuff from my childhood. As well as more mature things like The Elder Scrolls and Civilization.

I am an atheist. There, I said it. It's taken me 4 years to go from questioning to non-believer. If you have any questions I'd be glad to explain it to you, but I'm warning you right now that if you try and have a discussion that involves bible-thumping, you will be the one embarrassed, not me. So please, don't bother.

I accept all people regardless of race, gender, class, sexuality, or anything else. I am not, nor will I ever be a bigot.

I love to talk. To anyone, anytime. So message me, or post something up here. I'd love to talk to you. :3
Why are you here?
I believe more strongly in the potential of human beings than in the power of some improbable, self-contradicting deity. I wish to meet others who are the same as myself.

"Believing there is no God gives me more room for belief in family, people, love, truth, beauty, sex, Jell-o, and all the other things I can prove and that make this life the best life I will ever have." – Penn Jillette
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.

The Rapture - May 21, 2011

Posted on May 21, 2011 at 10:48pm 0 Comments

It's days like today that serve to both damage and give me faith in the human race. On the one hand, you have crazy women who murder their children to preempt the Rapture and churches that spend millions of dollars to advertise it, but on the other hand, you have many young people who know better than to buy this extravagant lie. Even though they believe in a God, they do realize something ridiculous when they see it to a certain extent. Now, if only they would be willing to analyze their own… Continue

Things Will Always Work Out the Way God Has Planned.

One of my acquaintances on facebook was having a particularly bad day and I saw this comment on their status. I am not religious. So of course, I do not take this as a piece of advice at all, but I couldn’t help but be reminded of when I was religious growing up. Even then, I wondered why people would say this, or how it served to provide any comfort at all.

From a religious standpoint, God has a plan for us all in this life until we have served that purpose and die and join…
