Why are you here?
Living in the arm pit bible belt really sucks the life out of you. It will be nice to have people who dont preach around.
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
I never could grasp the concept of this so called god I was supposed to worship. To me its seems like people spend too much time with imaginary sould saving friends and not enough time in reality. I was forced to attend church from birth to age 16 and hated every second of it. I dont believe it what they preach and never will.

Hello Glen. Ty for the warm welcome. I am about 45 minutes south of Louisville. Been here my whole life except for being active duty army. Myself and my family are moving back to the Knoxville area next summer after our oldest daughter graduates. My husband is from Knoxville and we are super excited to be coming back to his hometown. Plus our daughter will be attending the University of Tennessee. I grew up in the church of god of prophecy. Or should I say the brain washing I never believed they were right even being forced to go. I have made it a point to teach our kids to be open and enjoy life. I want to do my best to make sure they love and understand with an open mind instead of a closed one. Maybe next year when we move back to Knoxville I can attend your meet. Take care and hope to talk again soon.

Hello and welcome from Knoxville, TN. I just looked up Elizabethtown. How far from Louisville are you? We were in Louisville at the KFC Yumm arena for the Women's basketball tournament in March. I really liked Louisville.
I belong to ASK (Atheist Society of Knoxville). We have around 480 members. About 20 to 30 meet weekly at Barley's taproom. Nice be be around like minded people you can hold a decent conversation with.
I was also made to go to church and hated it. I think the Sunday school teacher liked it when I didn't go because I asked questions she couldn't answer. Well she did say "because it says so in the bible". Have a nice day.
