- I was raised in the church, but I unshackled my mind from it and now I feel truly free. I celebrate my Celtic roots and spend my time working, reading, listening to music and frolicking through life with my husband and puppy :)

- My parents are both Christian, my mother more so than my father. After my sister announced her removal from my family's traditional faith, she caused my mother great upset. I can't bring myself to break my mother's heart by revealing my personal disenchantment with god. So I'm here enjoying the freedom of discourse and support that I know I won't find within my family.

- I work for a company that aids people within the MRDD community. After working with these extraordinary individuals, it became impossible for me to support the banner of a kind, just, loving god who would either allow people to be born into these challenging (sometimes utterly heartbreaking) lives or deliberately create them to live these lives. No loving god would purposely put people through what I have witnessed with my own two eyes. And if such a god does exist, I don't want any part of it.
