- I am not what you call as Dawkins describes a 'militant athiest', because religion only had a part to play in the fundamental injustice that characterized the political emergence of our nations. The Modern world is a violent and cruel place, and it was crueller and more violent before. This was not because people believed in religion: this was because people believed, and still believe in 'us' and 'them'.
