Hi, Marianne. Thanks for reaching out. Sure needed a little virtual hug today. Grappling with so many moral questions of late, especially the concept of forgiveness from an Atheist perspective, given the senseless and cruel shootings in the Black Church in South Carolina. Wonder how Norwegians approached the issue with regard to the mass murder on that lovely island a few years back. Find myself almost hating Muslims (irrationally) since Charlie Hebdo, sometimes crying when I think about genital mutilation of innocent little girls, gay stonings, apostate beheadings, etc. Will be researching this question and hoping to find peace for myself in a world of barbarous insanity, driven by religious and racial hatred. I don't want to become one of them in my heart.
Hi Marianne, The horse in the foreground is Little Jack the Intimidator, a retired competition quarterhorse. The taller horse behind is Toka King, a retired thoroughbred. His great grand sire Seattle Slew won the Triple Crown in 1977. They are the joy of my life!
I am doing well, thanks. Looking forward to a nice spring. Very cold here today. The temperature swings are what I don't like dealing with 60's one day 30's next. Or 15.5C to -1.1 C. We are on the stupid English system. Metric would be so much better. Thanks again and have a nice day. I imagine it is somewhat cold there, right?
Hello and welcome from Knoxville, TN. I would love to visit Norway. I hope you have some like minded friends there (fellow atheitsts). I belong to a group here called ASK (Atheist Society of Knoxville). Around 30 members get together weekly and other events. It is great to be able to talk with them about anything. Open minds are the best.
