- I majored in Philosophy in college, at the state university when it was still relatively secular (now it's taken over by devout academics from the rich religious private universities). Before their invasion, the Vienna Circle ruled, and Bertrand Russell rocked, and Wittgenstein was all that is the case, and Philosophy majors and engineering students mixed and mingled and talked about mathematical logic and Alan Turing and solid state transistors (as opposed to vacuum tube) and the limits of artificial intelligence.Now it's all Thomas Aquinas and the Christianization of Aristotle and the scholastics and the protection of the embryo and all that Da Vinci code nonesense.
