Review: Les [Religieuse] Miserables

Hello Heathens,So, I finally went to see the new Les Miserables musical. I read the book some years ago, and I always knew there was a good share of religiosity in the story. I've seen some movie versions of it, and most of them don't slap you with a cross at every scene. As an atheist, I found it disturbing how religiosity is portrayed as the only source of 'moral' guidance. The musical also portraits how the religious 'moral' guidance can be twisted to fit once views, mostly seen in the…See More

"I've always wondered: If a Christian is supposed to have faith, why do they insist on debating the matter with people who don't take such matters on faith? The argument should be about faith, not the existence of God."

Godparent Request - Need advise

Posted on December 4, 2011 at 5:13pm 2 Comments

A very old friend of mine asked me to be one of the godparents to her newborn. As an atheist I don't support or believe in baptisms, and I'm actually against them. My friend knows this, but she insists. Should I obliged just for the sake of friendship, or should I simply say no?
