- I usually have trouble filling this section out. No number of paragraphs is sufficient to describe a human being; we’re more complex than that, or at least I’d like to believe so. That being said, I’ll try to write enough to give you an idea of what I’m like.
I was raised up as a Catholic. I don’t recall ever believing in a God, but I didn’t have enough brainpower to declare myself an atheist or even denounce the existence of a god (this was when I was 5 or 6 and whatever my mother said I took it as the truth). My parents are pretty religious and I grew up going to church every Sunday and still do – mostly because I don’t have the balls to tell my parents I’m not a believer. But don’t get me wrong, I think that going to church is a good thing. Every Sunday I learn more religion and get reminded why I am an atheist.
Of all religions that I’m familiar with, I think that Catholicism is the most ridiculous, and Buddhism makes most sense to me. I do not believe in the reincarnation aspect of it, and I don’t follow it as a religion, but I see it (or parts of it) as a good lifestyle. I try to follow the eightfold path because I do think that it makes me a better person, and the four noble truths make sense to me(to some extent).

Hello ThinkAtheist.
I was introduced to this site by a friend (Hi Jake!), and I'm liking it so far.
I am here to learn more about atheism, discuss atheism, and be more active in the atheist community. I wrote about my road to atheism and all that shenanigans in the "about me" section if you're interested, but I'd totally understand if you don't want to read it; I'm not that important (but sometimes i like to think that I'm actually interesting enough for other people to read about, so I'm here...)
I'm a very strongly opinionated person, but I doubt I will be updating this blog too often -- blogs just never work out for me. I plan on being an active member of this site.
