"I lived in Portland, Oregon for decades, and only returned to Ohio for family reasons. While Portland isn't tropical, its winters tend to be relatively mild, ditto for the summers. I'd be back in Portland tomorrow if I could make it…"

Profile Information

Your Religious Status
Atheist
About Me:
I am a retired elementary school teacher who has had to keep her atheism hidden because of my job (would you want YOUR first grader taught by an atheist?). Also, I live in the heart of the bible belt and my husband is in politics. Now that I am retired, I am making up for lost time by being as involved as I can in atheist issues.
Age
65-70
Why are you here?
To read and share views with other atheists. Although I know there must be other atheists who live in my small southern town, I have not determined how to find them, yet. So internet friends will have to suffice until I find real living, breathing ones nearby. (Not to say you guys are not living and breathing, but I can't actually see hear you!) : - )
The religion you left
Christian
