- I am a retired elementary school teacher who has had to keep her atheism hidden because of my job (would you want YOUR first grader taught by an atheist?). Also, I live in the heart of the bible belt and my husband is in politics. Now that I am retired, I am making up for lost time by being as involved as I can in atheist issues.

- To read and share views with other atheists. Although I know there must be other atheists who live in my small southern town, I have not determined how to find them, yet.
