Impossible for any god to be all knowing, all powerful and all merciful, and at the same time turn out the world I see around me. Attempts at twisted logic failed. Concept of "nonpersonal god", a deity who started the universe and stood back, seems empty and worthless. If it's true, and God doesn't have any particular interest in me, it makes no sense for me to have any particular interest in God. So, end of game. God loses. I win. I've way too much scientific background for this, but what really, finally pushed me irrevocably over the line was growing evangelical intrusion. Antisemitism is common, but even it is growing more aggressive and destructive in the lives of individuals like myself, and that, too, is a reflection of Christian Dominionist evangelical armtwisting convert or kill mentality. I'll have no more of it, thank you. I'll hear no more of it, either, if I can help it.
