The name of the group pretty much gives it away, I guess. European Atheists unite (yet again)! ;-) There's hundreds of thousands of us in Europe... where are all the others? Join in, let's discuss, connect and maybe we'll start another revolution.
I've been an atheist ever since I started thinking about it. I dislike religion for its uniforming qualities, its pointless laws against the most natural behavior and the fact that it makes you feel guilty for it. A waste of time and money. I do not, however, dislike the religious, but chances are I get irritated with them whenever I enter a discussion.
Why are you here?
The site got tipped by ProfMTH on Youtube, I checked it out and I liked the looks of it, so I joined.
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
First I'd like to say that my religion didn't even closely resemble that of my parents. I thought there was a god for every species of animal on the planet and didn't even know there were sins or a thing called Hell in Catholicism. My parents didn't believe in Hell either (and they don't right now), so that's probably why they never told me. They were very tolerant of my imaginations etc. so I had no problems at all. When I was at a friend of mine he told me he didn't believe in God. That was the moment I first realised you had to BELIEVE in God, and from that moment on I was an atheist. I was 11 years old back then.
