Welcome from Knoxville. I had to look up Decherd. I am just guessing there are not many atheists in Decherd. I belong to a group called ASK (Atheist Society of Knoxville). We have around 580 members from here and around Tennessee and the USA. We meet weekly at Barely's Tap Room on Tuesday evenings. Member start showing around 5:30 to 6:00 and later. We usually have between 20 to 30 show up. Great group of like minded people all age groups and some bring children. I like your comment about being a big atheist influence. I hate that so many people thing "atheist" is a bad word. I have always though atheist have higher moral standards than many christians. Check out the ASK group and if you happen to be in the area stop in. They also have a weekly call-in TV show which is funded by dues. Also Larry Rhodes (the founder) prints out literature and cards to pass out. I know he would welcome you as a member (everyone would). He leave cards in the relgious sections at various bookstores. Have a great day.
