- I am a gay, liberal, democratic. atheist library-clerk living in Long Beach with my husband of almost 12 years (ok we've been together for almost 12 years but we were only 'allowed' to marry for a brief time last year) and our little dog, Sonny.
- Why are you here?
- I have always been an atheist but, just like coming out gay, it was a process for me to give up on all of the mumbo-jumbo that I had been accustomed to all of my life. Now I am out and I'm proud to be free of it all (although, perversely, I love to study all of the various religions out there).

- I see myself as a rationalist, too much of religion is nonsensical.
