"I find the reference in 2 Peter 2:4 rather interesting. Tartaros is the Greek name for a special place in Hades, a fiery wasteland in which souls of the damned would be tormented forever. Possible influence from Greek mythology? Also, I find the…"
"I constantly felt fear while I was a Christian, although it was more of a fear of hell than it was a fear of God. I was constantly afraid that I would end up in hell and might not really be "saved." When I first stopped believing in hell…"
"@Dale It's kind of funny how you brought that up. Last night I was in a discussion about why people become atheists, and this passage came up. The rationalization of this I heard was rather strange. Apparently there was something in the Hebrew…"

If you were once a religious person, then you are most likely here because you lost your faith. Every former-theist Atheist has to go through a "deconversion" process, which can be very painful. But this doesn't mean you have to do it alone.
My name is Kyle. I'm from Muncie, Indiana and now live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I know hardly anyone in the area, which is why I mostly stick to myself. My family is religious, and I used to be a devout Christian and active in church activities. This included helping in vacation Bible schools, assisting in the Wed. night church bus routes, and assembling copies of John and Romans for missionaries to give away, usually in other countries like Romania and Mexico. I was also known for leaving gospel tracts in public places. It's a long story, but after a lot of searching, I'm now an atheist.
Why are you here?
I'm hoping to meet new people.
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
It's a really long story...
