- I was heavily involved in my church. I was an altar boy for 9 years, a Sacristan for 5 years and towards the end I was actively being groomed for the priesthood. Fortunately, by that time I didn't really believe any of it any more. Spending so much time behind the curtain gave me quite a bit of insight into the religious experience.
These were some ideas that I came up with that broke the spell:

I think it does a very good job explaining the concept of 'privilege.'
