About Me:: I'm a closet atheist, mainly for fear of persecution. I do not worry about myself as much as I do for my children. While I'm always ready for some good, honest, even heated discourse, I do not choose to thrust hardship upon my children for a cause I have selected.

Why are you here?: I enjoy engaging in open logical discussions in a forum that allows one to disassociate their "feelings" and truly get down to the substance of the argument.

Why you left your religion.: I could no longer go along with the dogma simply because it was the easier route.

My story is not one of becoming an atheist or turning away from religion as a recent event. From a very early age I smelled a rat but was unsure of what exactly was going on. I was sure that my parents, and all the other adults, wouldn’t lie to me. That was nonsense; it had to be. Why would there be this huge conspiracy to confuse one little kid.
