- Raised as a Christian. Believe that is why i am unable to face the realities of who I am as a person. Too easy to blame God for making me the way I am. Wish I had had a chance to form as an individual without the cloud of the fear of God hanging over my head. Attribute my "escapist" behavior to having not been held accountable for my own responses to life. Now want to interact with others who might be "recovering religious zealots." :-) Not interested in clubs - just intellectual discourse.

- Because I need an outlet to discuss my views on life without the fear of ostracism or criticism. I appreciate the critical thinking I see on these sites and am so grateful I'm not the only one who thinks like this. I feel as though I'm a stranger in my own community.
