- I was brought up in a beachy Amish home. Until four years ago i was an extremely devoted christian. In my search for the "correct" way to serve god i was introduced to some college courses on higher criticism highlighting the errors and contradictions in the bible. From there it progressed to the whole range of subjects from comparative religion to evolutionary biology. However i am still "in the closet" so to speak as i have not openly acknowledged my unbelief. I am disabled. i have MD. I maintain a good relationship with the believers in my life although my faith is officially and forever dead.
