I often give thanks to my creator for my life. - "Thanks, Mom!"
Thankfully, I was raised to be a critical thinker and to distrust any organized religion since I could walk. I was encouraged to read anything and everything. I think I grew up spending the better part of my life in the Zoology section of the library, and have recently expanded into physics and love reading Michio Kaku & Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Outside of books, I've been known to gleefully tackle the Judeo-Christian myth that snakes are evil. (Having 10 of these creatures as pets helps.)
I also love wildlife photography and can't wait for it to cool down here in the AZ desert so I can get back out to be my normal avian papparazzi self again.

Why you left your religion.
I never had one to leave, but I have a few stories to tell about a late husband who was "cramming for finals" the last 2 years of his life.
