"Hi Kait! Welcome to Think Atheist! What kind of genere are you looking to do with film?
I don't have a lot of atheist friends because I travel all the time. I come to TA as much as I can, to ground myself from the crazy people that seem to…"
I'm 18 years old (for a couple more weeks), and I finally signed up for this site like I'd been planning to for months. I'm really not all too sure for as to what to write here, but I am an ex-Catholic, newly turned Atheist. I grew up in Southern Baptist territory, and I'm currently a film student though I was originally majoring in neuroscience. I'm getting ready to move to Vancouver in a couple months to transfer schools, and I'm more than excited to make the "religious/non-religious"…See More
I'm Kaitlyn Paige Nakamura, I'm half Japanese (and quarter French and quarter Irish) and I'm unoriginal, brash, and unjustifiably stubborn. I prefer the night to the day, a storm to the sun, and a good horror movie over a romantic one. I keep my walls covered with posters and my floors buried with books. I like morbid things, eerie sounds, and always holding one foot over the edge - this does not mean that I'm thrilling, dauntless, or dark by nature. I just am, that is all, I just am. I resist the temptation to resist temptation and I have a ferocious intolerance of intolerance, so I'm smashingly hypocritical. I am not fresh, and new, and dazzling, nor all too charming - if anything, I'm stale, and snarky, and frequently find myself liking books, and music, and art, and just words as they are...more than people. I'm an awkward adventure on legs and if I ever had anything on my tombstone it would be this, and just this: "wherever she went, it was always against her better judgement."
I'm not here to prove myself, to fit a mold, to pursue the societal norm - I'm just here to burn trails through the night, and maybe, just maybe, figure it all out.
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
I left because I decided to use my mind and find the answers to questions that no one could tell me.
