Difficult to be an Atheist in your country?

I was wondering how easy or not it is to be an Atheist in your country. I grew up with a father that wanted to impose religion on us,later I found out my mother never believed the bull, but anyway none of us except my dad believes in gods anymore and among my friends it is the normal position to be in. If anyone of them is religious  it's not very outspoken and probably not very deep.I can imagine it's not like that everywhere, even if we are talking Europe here.Let me know how it is for you and…See More

European Atheists

The name of the group pretty much gives it away, I guess. European Atheists unite (yet again)! ;-) There's hundreds of thousands of us in Europe... where are all the others? Join in, let's discuss, connect and maybe we'll start another revolution.

Joop Kruisselbrink replied to Skycomet the Fallen Angel's discussion 'Jesus!!! Jesus Camp Gone Wild!!!'
"If you ask me it takes a special mind to question this kind of stuff and dare to deny it and since believers have more children religion will prevail,or am I to pessimistic?"

Joop Kruisselbrink replied to Shine's discussion '"As a Christian..."'

Profile Information

Your Religious Status
Atheist
About Me:
Sam Harris said you don't have to tell people you are an non-alchemist or non-astrologist so why say you are non-believer,should be considered normal,it isn't I'm sorry to say.
Age
41-46
Relationship Status
Single
Why are you here?
As a reality based person I tend to get attracted to Atheist websites because the language spoken there is the one I understand. Sometimes it seems like religious people speak a language I don't understand.
The religion you left
Christian
Why you left your religion.
I must admit,my father did his best to infest me with his religion,he dragged me to church until I became 18. I think I never really believed it,I'm very reality based and nowadays it seems like you stick your head in the sand if you want to hold on to your imaginary friend, there is enough reason out there to let go.
