"Why would you throw the book in the bin? It's a useful reference work. I'd have recommended just saying, 'No, thanks'; it was rather presumtuous of this man to offer you a Bible without comment, but hey. Free Bible."

"Surely, ideally, the Christian God is a God of love, and Christians try and decide what He would what them to do, when making decisions.  So I think it can have a lot of value to use God's assumed wishes as a guideline in morality. "
