My name is John, as you may have already figured out, and I'm 15 years old going on 16. About a year or two ago, my belief in God started to deteriorate. As my faith slowly withered, my belief in evolution started taking it's place. However, it didn't necessarily happen in that order. About the time I was turning 14, I started to develop an interest in anthropology and evolution. This belief caused an inner conflict between faith and reason. I realized that like in the film "Highlander", there can be only one. Over the past few years, my belief in science and logic has continued to grow substantially, as did my interest in anthropology, archaeology and evolution. I am now a sophomore in high school, and once I'm done there, I plan to go to UConn to pursue knowledge in the field of anthropology. If there's anything else you just have to know, I'm open for questions.
Why are you here?
To congregate with fellow atheists, laugh, and have a good time.
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
I was having doubts about religion as logic and reason began to set in. I would like to thank George Carlin for helping me find my true self.
