I am a classic "cultural Jew" that is also Atheist. My definition of cultural Jew is simply honoring the history from which I came. I look at the human history of the Jews, and appreciate the struggles and rich culture behind them, while disregarding all the theological and supernatural claims made by Judaism.
I am a humanist and a naturalist, as well as a very serious skeptic. I have 2 BA's from Penn State University. One is a BA of Philosophy and the other is a BA in Film/Video Production.
I am a science fanatic and love to always learn more about cosmology, physics, biology, and anything else which sheds light on a better breadth of knowledge and understanding for the human race.
Why are you here?
I joined because I love discussing topics such as the meaning of life, the laws of Nature, and other philosophical quandries. I actively debate theists; however, lately I have been completely disheartned by their total lack of logic and reason.
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
I left my religious side of Judaism because of my strong interest in answering the questions which Judaism claimed to have the answers to. The more I learned about the world, the less and less I believed in the supernatural. The concept of God has always fascinated me, and the more I questioned and understood, the more the fairy-tale nature of biblical stories became evident.
