"With regards to not being in full agreement with with all of his views; I don't think its possible to agree with someone on everything, and life would be boring without this mental diversity.  Also, now I'm going to have to…"

Jessi replied to Misty: Baytheist Living!'s discussion 'Freedom of religion is not freedom from religion.'
"First of all, the phrase "freedom of religion" is a little irrelevant to begin with, because that's not what the First Amendment even says. It states that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or…"

Why you left your religion.
although I was not raised in a religious household, I was a child with a lot of big questions, and naturally religion fascinated me. it amuses me how naive I was, because I gave religion, and Christianity specifically, the benefit of the doubt to an extent. I had so many questions about things in the bible that seemed illogical, but I figured that these problems were so glaring that followers could not possibly overlook them, and therefore must have satisfying answers to these questions. so I went to church for a while, only to realize that, no, these people did not have those answers. they did not (and still do not, I'm sure) even have those questions.
