Back when I was in middle school the question of my religion came up a lot. It was odd 'cause other students rarely talked to me and vice versa. I was wary of admitting I was an atheist given how mean kids can be, but I wouldn't deny it. I personally wanted to tell them to mind their own business. Back when I was in middle school the question of my religion came up a lot. It was odd 'cause other students rarely talked to me and vice versa. I was wary of admitting I was an atheist given how mean kids can be, but I wouldn't deny it. I personally wanted to tell them to mind their own business. I had just come on break when our translator asked me,

"Are their any virgin girls in America?"

At the time I was serving as a gate guard on FOB Diamondback in Mosul Iraq and was about halfway through my deployment. The question took me aback. What, did he think that American girls are somehow not born virgins? Or that doctors de-virgify them when they're born, kinda like the way boys get circumcised?…
