To share ideas with others who are atheists; especially those who have had the courage to give up a restrictive religion and think for themselves

Why you left your religion.
I discovered its true history and went through hell trying to reconcile it with what I had believed for 39 years. Couldn't!
Cannot have one foot in and one foot out - have to have closure. Prayer didn't help, neither fasting or going to the temple or blessings. So I left and then I left God too.
