About Me:
Why are you here?
I can not find like minded folk in my everyday life. I live in the buckle of the bible belt. I work with the public and I'm frustrated by customers blessing me and wearing Tshirts that read "God doesn't believe in Atheists" and I can't offer a rebuttal for fear of risking my job. When do I get my turn ?
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
Religions are a lot like Amway. There are the bottom rung, eager faithful..hoping, and buying into the crap.. and the folks at the top who know its bullshit and feast upon the labors of those below, laughing at them for their foolishness.

forgive me if this info has been posted. (I only have a minute and no time to do a search)
it's kinda "in the name of atheists ,thye give a damn and cash too" idea.
Incase it was something anyone was looking for.
Doctors w/o Borders and the international Red Cross are your choice,, two that are IMHO top notch.

With all this talk of calanders, and christmas, and pagen holidays

These are my favorite holidays. (take the holy out,, celebration day..)

For sure the best is April's Fool Day. ( I love what the French do with the fish, we had a riot of laughter at work last year with that one.) How can one not love a day devoted to laughter?

I'm looking forward to my 1st May the 4th ( be with you) Day Not quite sure how one goes about celebrating that on yet.

And there's 166 days left till Towel Day!!!! I plan on having a blast on… Continue

Once again an atheist is a rotting corpse.

I poke and prod at people about their religion.

I post atheist quotes and videos on my facebook page.

The people on my list can, ignore, comment, agree, disagree, whatever, but it will get them thinking.

Last night I posted this:

"What happens when we're dead? The irony is that all our questions will be answered after we die. We spend our whole life trying to figure out the truth and the only way we'll find out what it is, is to get hit by a bus. And the only comfort that… Continue

Tulsa Oklahoma is VERY religious.

There are quite a few MEGA-churches, and a few bible colleges based here.

A coworker today made an interesting point. She wondered if the strong christian influence here in Tulsa wasn't caused by the OIL being discovered here in 1905. Lots of money was to be made up till the crash in the 1980's.

It seems to me there's always this connection between where the money is and religion.

The catholic church/Spain/conquistadors/gold.

The… Continue

Disregarding the intro and the boilerplate greeting, I went from zero to friend faster than most production sports cars ;)

Glad to be of assistance. I think the "A" is subtle enough that many xtians/vandals won't realize what it stands for.

Thanks for the compliment. I'm not always nice though. But when I'm baiting a debate, It's much easier to be the nice guy. I like the Amway and being hopeful analogy in your why you left synopsis. I hope that TA is a great escape for you from the Bible Belt.
