J. Ratzinger replied to UsuallyScarlett's discussion 'Childless by Choice'
"Perhaps it is better to reverse your statement from "so those non-existent children are indeed worse off than we are, because they are not here" to make it read instead that we, the existent descendants of our forebears are better off…"

J. Ratzinger replied to UsuallyScarlett's discussion 'Childless by Choice'
"I find it extremely interesting that your hobby is genealogy, but you have chosen to remain child-free. It's kind of like someone whose hobby is to read lots of cookbooks, but chooses to never cook, but instead exclusively eat bags of crisps,…"

J. Ratzinger replied to Sassan K.'s discussion 'Why do Atheists tend to bash Christianity but give excuses for Islam??'
"I am not complaining that atheists should critique Islam more than they do, or that they should critique Christianity or any other religion, but I was merely passing comment on the disparate treatment and sheer oddness of Atheists defending and…"

J. Ratzinger replied to Sophie's discussion 'Nipples/breasts? Why so Taboo?'
"We are more than our biology Mo Trauen! We are no longer base animals, but human beings now, so we can be expected to control our primitive sexual urges until such time as they are appropriate between consenting adults, and merely seeing a topless…"

J. Ratzinger replied to Sophie's discussion 'Nipples/breasts? Why so Taboo?'
"I have long been a proponent of gender equality, and I have never liked this anti-female rule which allows me as a male to mow my lawn without a shirt on, or to walk down the street topless, or to swim in the municipal swimming pool wearing just…"

J. Ratzinger replied to Sassan K.'s discussion 'Why do Atheists tend to bash Christianity but give excuses for Islam??'
"I too have pondered this peculiar phenomenon of Atheists often being more defensive, and protective of the religiopolitical entity of Islam than many Muslims themselves are. It is astonishing to see Atheists rush in to defend Islam from criticism.…"

Y'know what? I think I know the reason for the discrepancy. I was looking through the event calendar and noticed a difference between event postings. When I post a podcast event, I include the date and time in the title (for previously-mentioned reasons), but for awhile one of the site volunteers was posting them shortly after I had my second kid and was busy with school projects/midterms/etc. His method didn't include the time information in the title and if I'm not mistaken, the email invites sent out are essentially copies of the event posting. Anyway, thanks for the information and I'll pass it on to the podcast volunteer group.

3 people RSVP'd, 30 showed up. That's pretty typical, actually.

Anyway, on the title of the event it says, specifically, "10pm EST." Eastern Standard Time. The event location is listed as "worldwide" because it's on the internet. I'd modify the time information on the event calendar to specify the Eastern time zone, but unfortunately the controls don't allow me to do so. The reason Eastern time is used as the time on the title has more to do with the site hosting the podcasts than personal preference.
