brilliant! so glad to hear you fought for your right to have the club. and contacting the FFRF is just what i would've suggested!
ridiculous that the school said you couldn't call it an atheist club. what on earth is it if not an atheist club? surely they don't demand that the Christian club(s) call themselves "religion club" or "spirituality club" so as not to upset the non-Christian or atheist students! that pisses me off.
so what became of it then? was it dropped at that point or was it pursued?
hey Holly, welcome to the community! just wanted to say that if your school is turning down your request to form an atheist club while allowing other groups they are violating your constitutional rights and you absolutely shouldn't give that a pass! if you give up when your rights are infringed upon then gradually, little by little, those rights will be taken away from you! :(
