"Zombie movies always help me. Something about bashing in the head of these things that 'look' like humans but are really mindless, consuming pieces of meat must relate to my psyche."

"You are not a bad person...just a thinking person! In my view, running from emotions is the mistake. If you feel pissed, be pissed! By admitting what you are feeling--and thinking about those feelings--you can work through them. Express them…"

About Me:
Hi! I'm Heather. I'm not very good at these, but here goes nothing. I'm a 23 year old living in Milwaukee, born and raised in Southern Wisconsin on a small dairy farm until I was 13, though home for me is actually in Minnesota, where my family relocated when our farm folded. I love music, specifically vocal, and gravitate toward just about any kind of music I can feel. That it, music from the most embarrassing-to-admit-I-listen-to-it pop group, to opera, country, classical, rock, death metal, some rap, ending with Disney music. (Seriously, I have a ton of just that.) I love to read, to write, draw, am extremely competitive, animals, having conversations, laughing, meeting new people. I'm an avid fan of shopping, anything by Stephen King, Adult Swim, Sons of Anarchy, movies, funky colored hair, professional wrestling, and the outdoors. I'm addicted to my computer, World of Warcraft, tattoos, smoking, and traveling. I support myself, Barrack Obama, conversations that are intelligent, a woman's right to choose, love between people, and free health care.

I currently work in a hospital on the coast of Lake Michigan, but am working as hard as I can around the crappy economy to get back to Minnesota.

Why are you here?
To learn, and to try and find some modicum of peace in harmony with my beliefs. Not that I need other people's acceptance, but because this world is becoming a place that, when other people are involved, that is slowly infusing me with a kind of rage that I've never felt before. I need to know that I'm not alone here, and in a similar fashion, that I don't know everything about what being an Atheist means, even just to me. I want to meet those that may think like me, may feel like me, that struggle with the same things I do. I hope to learn more about LaVeyan Satanism, which I know few people may disagree with, as well as other similar ideals that people may subscribe to.
Why you left your religion.
I've seen so many people subscribe to the belief in God as a doorway to being eternally happy, when in reality, they've simply tricked themselves into smiling when they hate their life, and justifying their suicidal mannerisms as 'looking forward to heaven'.
