About Me:
I've been an atheist since the age of about 15, although I continued to look for spirituality simply to soothe my spirits. Gave up on that, too. If there's no evidence, then it isn't a fact, it's not even a theory but a fairy tale. And not even a very good one.

Why are you here?
Checking out atheist and skeptical groups in and around Norfolk and came across the Virginia Beach Think Atheist group. Sounds cool.
The religion you left
Christian
Why you left your religion.
They were never happy, and what they had to offer (eternal happiness which, to me, translates to boredom) seemed unpleasant. And the Bible contradicts itself, and the concept of original sin is appalling, and a god who would send you to eternal hell for the sin of not believing in him during a 70-year lifetime was, literally and pun intended, unbelievable, and I could go on and on.
