"The urge to pair-bond, whether it's formally initiated or not, is almost universal. I think that something like marriage will continue. The religious mythos of the conjugal union is undergoing a purge and I think that's a good thing."
"The name "Nazarene" hung around the neck of the figure who became the Christ of the gospels by the end of the first century.
It has been suggested that this referred to his skill as a healer. "Nazar" being a title given to such…"
"The 'what-if' scenario you've described is just the kind of thought experiment that tests ethical theories. In this case, without being able to read the future, you (or Churchill) would have to go with the best information you…"
"I gave you an answer: appropriation without consent is wrong.
The either/or individual or society IS a dichotomy. I maintain that is a false one as, apparently, do you (from your last reply, anyway).

The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
When answers to my questions about important subjects (life, the Universe, and everything) went unsatisfactorily answered by the priests who taught in my high school, I looked for answers myself.
What I learned and how I learned to think clearly led me to the conclusion that the god of Abraham was a physical and metaphysical absurdity. No god = no religion. I've concluded that religions are man made institutions with no relevance to the lives of humans anymore. What's more, their influence is almost universally bad.
We need to educate people so that religions fade in influence as quickly as possible.
