I'm very active in politics (very liberal Democrat), I'm involved with several arts organizations, and work in event production for the luxury industry. I'm gay and single for what it's worth.
About my religious status:
My family wasn't religious during my early youth. My mother was C. of E., and my father was Jewish. After my family emigrated to America (Dad's French, mum's English), we eventually landed in Utah where my mother had family. Most of my Utah family were Mormon, and after trying that for about a year I completely rejected it, and with it all of Christianity. I became very interested in Judaism, because I appreciated how much intellectual debate takes place on religious matters, but eventually rejected Judaism too.
For many years I called myself agnostic, but have finally realized that I just don't believe in any concept of god, and now call myself atheist.
Why are you here?
I'm here to meet other atheists and agnostics, and expand my circle of friends.
Why you left your religion.
Aside from not believing in god, I'm very repulsed by the cruelty and hypocrisy exhibited by nearly every religion, and especially their followers.
