Geoff Foley replied to Rick's discussion '"Atheists dont believe in anything"'
"For me, I have been internally debating the idea of belief itself. I am coming to see beliefs as being a gateway to faith. Personally, I say that I accept what facts present, as they are uncovered. I think if you accept the scientific fact of what…"

Geoff Foley replied to Heather Spoonheim's discussion 'What kind of brew do you do?' in the group Home Brewing Atheists
"I haven't focused enough to actually get started yet but that will be changing very soon.   That is very cool that you have ventured into vodka.  That is something I want to get into along with craft brews.   The furthest I have…"

Geoff Foley replied to Misty: Baytheist Living!'s discussion 'Group Framework' in the group 1st Amendment Atheists
"I agree with your own ideas on those ideas. I would add that part of #1 needs to be making people aware that one cannot use the 1st Amendment as their own weapon against those they want to silence.   Nobody has the right to not be offended by…"

Geoff Foley replied to Ricardo Tubbs's discussion 'How can you like real ultimate fighting, but be a gay basher? How can you like death metal, and still be a little Jesusy?'
"Alice Cooper has been a Christian for going on 30 years now. If the morality, or ethics, of such music is in question, pay more attention to the actual lyrics and not the theatrics. These guys are entertainers. Nobody will pay to go to a concert and…"

Blind Allegiance

I have noticed that the most fervent "patriots" in this country are the least educated and most religious around us.Seems that their religious zealotry goes hand in hand with their feelings of patriotic superiority; both of which go with their misguided belief that America was founded on xian principles, even in the face of mountains of evidence to the contrary.See More
