- Although being raised in a non-practicing Catholic household and attending Catholic grade school, I began to realize that I was more of a free-thinking child than the others I was around in those days. As I continued my education and eventually earned a B.S. in biology, I began to embrace the freedom to think, reason, and no longer be threatened by the superstitions that bind so many to a religion. Hailing from Kansas, where the Bible belt mentality reigns supreme, I'm quite pleased to see so many like-minded individuals out there who are willing to stand up and speak with an intelligent and resonant voice of reason! :)
