*Tin foil cap on* Do you think the Catholic Church made the bible so long to discourage people from reading it?

I know nothing about the creation of the bible, so I admit it's unlikely conjecture.  It was just a funny thought that occurred to me while pondering the fact that so many christians know so little…Continue

You know you're an atheist when...

My friend and I came up with a few good ones today.  I googled the phrase, and only came up with Christians using it to (very poorly) mock atheism.  Let's show 'em how it's done.Continue

Well I do stir the pot on Youtube, although I've never gone into a specifically Christian forum.  I actually love having theists come here and make asses of themselves -> it makes a good public record of just how corrupt their epistemology really is.

Thanks for the add - AND for the compliments.  That is a great little exchange and I'm kinda liking my stance there at the moment, :D

Intellectual Convergence vs Divergence in Science and Religion

Posted on December 27, 2011 at 8:30am 1 Comment

So I was surfing youtube today, which included the usual cast of characters: Thunderf00t, Lawrence Krauss, Phil Hellenes, etc. And then, despite my better judgement, I decided to read the comments on a video. Of course, there wasn't anything of substance, but I did encounter a claim against science (not even "for god") that I hadn't come across before.  In a nutshell, the claim was this:  1) Scientists fall on both sides on whether global warming is natural or caused by people, 2)…

The Ledge - review (spoilers clearly marked)

Posted on July 4, 2011 at 5:27am 0 Comments

I just saw this film tonight.  Originally, I was typing a response to this blog, but my reply snowballed enough that I'd like to get a more direct response. I'm also not a "blogger" or even LIKE to write very much, so don't expect this to be very profound.  Just hoping to start a good discussion about a good movie.  Also, I have clearly marked where I start talking about specific plot-points and grayed-out the…
