- I was the one who never really believed. I was the one who kept telling myself that there was something wrong with me. That once my Bat Mitzvah happened I would "see the light" and all my doubts about my religion would disappear and I would really believe in god. When that (obviously) didn't happen I became agnostic. I was interested in eastern religions for a while because at that point I still felt like I needed to be some religion. In high school I finally started to accept that all religion was total bullshit and now I am completely atheist, although I still believe we can never truly know.

What do atheists do in court?

So people swear on the bible in court (or whatever religious text they want), but does anyone know what atheists do? I mean if I was ever in that situation and they told me to swear on some religious text I'd probably just laugh at them. Has anyone had experience with this?

Sorry for taking a while to respond to your comment about physics. I was camping last week and had no internet. Astrophysics is pretty cool. I was thinking about majoring in it, but then decided that if I were to focus on astrophysics, it would be in grad school. I'm not totally sure about what physics that I'm most interested in studying, but I have some interest in quantum computers and light cloaking materials, but I also am interested in gravity a lot, as well as mathematical physics. Astrophysics is always an option because astrophysics is awesome.

To love someone that doesn't even exist! It is truly frightening how much religion can sabotage your mind and your ability to think for yourself. Words can't even describe it.
