36 year old male, part-time police officer. Currently studying general sciences at University (philosophy, astronomy, physics, psychology,.. etc). Married with one child (dauMy wife and I are secular humanists.
Why are you here?
To interact with like-minded thinkers.

Why you left your religion.
Was never very religious. Study traditional Japanese martial arts so Buddhism was a natural path for me. I left it after coming to the realization that that detachment and debasement of worldly things was bad for the self-esteem.
Did a lot of reading, that will make anyone leave religion eventually :)

I, like most people here, sometimes get asked where do I get my meaning in life without God? Where is the wonder? One answer is as clear as your hand in front of your face.
