- I was raised Catholic my entire life. I started having serious doubts when i actually started reading the bible and realized that we werent taught in my childhood sunday school class everything the bible says. I now consider it a horrible, disgusting book filled with unspeakable horrors that no loving god could ever permit. How ANY believer could read it and still have their faith is beyond me. I would like to sit down with any christian and go over their holy book with them and see how much they really know. I am a member of American Atheists and the Freedom from Religion Foundation. I am also an ordained minister in the First Church of Atheism.
