About Me:

I'm a pretty laid back fun person. I have a beautiful little girl and I like OJ (the juice not the murderer, tho he was a good football player). I am a corporate monkey to the definition... Yeah a rewarding job would be nice but oh well, I'd rather work a job and live a passion than the other way around. I try not to be lazy but sometimes it can be hard...I love my couch.

I try to engage intelligent "believers" to make them understand... It's an uphill battle. I love these people and I hate that they live their lives in fear, but they'll come around.

Why are you here?

I NEED reassurance that I'm not insane and the religious zealots are actually the crazy ones. Ok that's a lie there's no question who the crazies are!!! I am here to talk to people without having to defend my lack of beliefs or explain what keeps me from raping all and pillaging the land. Cuz only those with faith know right from wrong, right? ;)

But ultimately...I have no imagination I don't like fantasy movies,i.e. Lord of the Rings, etc., so believing in a zombie Jew just isn't really for me... Though if the slow moving zombies from Shaun of the Dead were real that'd be kinda neat in an apocalyptic sort of way.

Why you left your religion.

Sunday School, Michigan, circa 1982. A young boy asks his Sunday School teacher if dogs and cats go to Heaven. Her response would create a heathen. "No Donny, dogs and cats don't go to heaven because they don't have souls, they weren't created in Gods image."

At 5 years old I was able to call bullshit and I remain confounded as to why more people haven't! I had just finished kindergarten and knew that the only thing I had that dogs and cats didn't was opposable thumbs and higher intelligence. I was no better than them....except I don't poop outside and lick myself.

That may not be the deepest epiphany that has lead to atheism but I was 5 give me a break.
