This post is for those of you who follow any sport with passion... and also anyone else who's interested. So I'm a football fanatic... Soccer. not the American football. Now there is something I have…Continue
"Whether soccer, football, baseball, or any other sports....or religion for that matter, ... the so called "fanatics" will adhere to IT no matter what, and there will be others to challenge that! This has been a human evolution since…"
"I don't know anything about the game mechanics, but assuming it's a standard 'zombie' story line (group of a dozen survivors versus millions of undead) I'd choose the airport hands down.
A typical airport complex is huge,…"
"It's like in the movies. You can't have a hero without a worthy opposition: Batman vs The Joker, The Penguin, etc.; Superman vs. Lex Luthor; James Bond vs Auric Goldfinger, Sir Hugo Drax, Dr. No, etc.
Yahweh has his Lucifer."
"Interesting. Very nicely articulated. Here I'd note that I am not comfortable with my favourite team or player being the undisputed best ALL THE TIME(throughout his career)... that would be kinda boring. But yes that pretty much confirms…"
"YET... Yet when someone says Messi is shit(someone almost always does :P) I feel deeply offended..
Really? Messi is probably the best player ever and a multi-millionaire. Not much to be offended by there.
With regards to one of the best video gaming experiences I'll ever have aka "The Last of Us". Between an airport terminal and a barricaded stadium, which one would be the best to settle in? Here I'm taking into account all possible factors including possibility of spreading of Cordiceps spores, availability of resources, everything.... Which place would be the best to settle in your opinion?See More
"If someone says one of the best soccer players in the world is "shit" he's a complete idiot regarding the sport or he's deliberately trying to insult you.
It's different if you've got someone reasonable who knows the…"
"I think sports have joined religion as "an opiate of the people." FAR too much attention and energy are wasted on activities which are, when all is said and done, just a game.
And I'm not against sports. I followed The World's…"

"Hmm... so lets say my favourite player falls from grace.. say 'drug abuse' scandal or even murder charge eg:Oscar Pistorius. A lot of fans will invariably lose faith accompanied with a huge emotional shock and a sense of betrayal. Can this…"
I am a serial procrastinator. I love Philosophy, Psychology and Science. I'm socially progressive and liberal but not a feminist(its a long story and no, i don't think women belong in the kitchen). I vehemently support LGBT rights(we're still fighting for it in India). I think I'm missing a lot of things but I'm too lazy to remember/write them for now. :P
Why are you here?
To engage in interesting discussions on the philosophy of religion and general issues of the World. Its always good to be among like minded people and open yourself up to new things.
On the bigger picture, well... I want to help eradicate religious intolerance and ignorance, and any form of ignorance based on superstition, stereotype etc.
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
Well, technically its not quite that easy to say "I left Hinduism!" Simply because atheism is kinda allowed in Hindu philosophy but I still wanted to engage in atheism with respect to other religions. I do reject any and all modern forms of Hinduism that is practiced eg: deity worship.
My problem is not only with God but also with Religion and Religion based ignorance on the basis of a God. I hate blind belief and my aversion to religious guidelines stem from my affinity to anarchy.
